Our Event

The Darwin Market Group is a small collection of local businesses bringing new life to outdoor spaces, shopping centres and empty shopfronts in the Darwin Region. 

All of the businesses that participate in our event live and work within the local community just like you and me. When we stand alone as businesses we are just a small part of the community but by coming together we bring you a large range of products and services that will see you through your journey of life in the top end.

The Darwin Market Group gives local Darwin residents the chance to come face to face with their customers and sell their products to the local Darwin community.
Our events are more than just another event on the Darwin social calendar, together we form a heartfelt community.

STALL FEE (per event)
$35 – Top End Collective. Set up in the car park of Gateway Home this event will be visible from bot sides of the highway.

TRADING DATES
Our event runs every second Sunday on a government pay week.

PREPARING YOUR APPLICATION

Please provide us with as much detail as possible and include quality photos of your products and a link to your website. All products sold at The Darwin Market Group must be approved, this is why it is important you must show us good quality photos of what you intend to sell at the markets.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The Darwin Market Group accepts applications for new stallholders on a regular basis.
Applications must be filled out correctly, along with images, to be considered.
A copy of your public liability and product insurance must be emailed to admin@darwinmarketgroup.com.au
Food stall must also email a copy of their registration of a food business.
We accept applications through out website www.darwinmarketgroup.com.au
This is the only method available to apply.
The approval process can take up to one week.

ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED

Once you have been accepted into our event you will be invited to join our stall holder facebook group.
This is where we send out updates to all of our stallholders.
Sign up posts for events will be posted in our group where you can nominate what dates you would like to trade.
The Darwin Market Group has the right to refuse trade to any stall holder, at any time where they see fit.

PAYING FOR YOUR STALL

Once your application has been accepted you will be sent an invoice via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account you can choose to pay via credit card or bank card through the Paypal gateway. Payment for your stall must be made before your business is advertised as attending our event. We do not accept cash payments. 

CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to cancel your booking you must advise the Darwin Market Group 24 hours before the event or you will be charged the full stall fee.
Stall fees are non refundable if you do not show up or cancel within 24 hours of the event.

By becoming a stall holder at one of our events you are joining a unique territory event made up of local businesses from right here in the territory. We are a friendly bunch and we might be here for work but we have a lot of fun along the way too.

INSURANCE

All stall holders trading at the Darwin Market Group must hold both public liability insurance to the value of 10 million dollars. Product liability insurance is also recommended.
All stallholders selling candles, beauty products, cosmetics, soaps, fragrances or essential oils that you have manufactured, imported, repackaged, relabelled or rebranded must have both product and public liability.
A current product liability certificate specifying market stall/trade exhibitor cover must be included with your application.
A pdf copy of your insurance details must be emailed to admin@darwinmarketgroup.com.au

FOOD STALLS

Food stalls must be registered food businesses and provide us with a copy of all the necessary paperwork. Please contact the Department of Health if you require anymore information.
All electrical cords and gas supplies must be tagged and tested.

BUMP IN AND BUMP OUT
Stall holders can begin set up from 7am.
Entry via car will be blocked off at 8:30am
All stall holders must be ready to trade at 9am
Stallholders must trade until 1pm
Pack up must take place after 1pm when the event has finished.
Stallholders must take all of their rubbish with them when they leave the market site.

WHAT TO BRING
The stall holder is responsible for bringing everything they will need to trade on the day.
We do not have access to any tables or chairs
It is recommended if stallholders sit on a stool so they are eye level with their customers, this is a recommendation not a requirement.

I applied for Zuccoli Plaza Markets when we moved to Darwin at the start of the year. The market atmosphere is awesome and the organizer and stallholders feel more like friends. 
I also love that it is a fortnightly it gives us a full weekend with our families but it is not too much time between markets like monthly ones. It is a great work -life balance.
